25.01.2022 We LOVE seeing beautiful skin transformations like Josephine's. "I always had relatively good skin growing up other then the standard teenage breakouts...up until about three years ago and I stopped taking the pill. My skin was out of control and it took me a while to pinpoint what had caused it.... The hormonal change along with trying every single big name skincare brand on the market (which was actually inflaming the problem and making it worse) led to the picture on the left. I had tried everything. I never left the house without makeup on and my self esteem was at an all time low. This led me to The Dermal Diary, a good friend recommended I go see Isabella and I am so so thankful I did. Turns out I didnt know as much about skincare as I thought she had so much knowledge about every single ingredient in the products she recommended and knew exactly what was going on under those layers of my skin. (The scarring was worse then I thought) Isabella wrote down a skincare routine for me and gave me a list of products to use. I literally threw out everything else I had in my cupboard and havent looked back since. I saw a difference after just one week and after a few months of following her regime and a monthly facial my skin had completely cleared up!"

If you're subscribed to our email newsletter, you will have learned that St Ives Exfoliating Scrub were involved in a law suit over misleading information & harmful ingredients. In 2018, plaintiffs in the St. Ives lawsuit claimed two things: that the crushed walnut powder creates microscopic tears in your skin, exposing it to infections and irritation, and that its label's claim of being noncomedogenic (i.e, it doesn't clog pores...) was not correct. You know what else? The 'dermatalogically tested' messaging is misleading, because - who is to say that it's dermatologically recommended? *Sigh* we could talk at LENGTH about the scratchy, inflammatory effects of physical exfoliants! Our recommendation? Opt for a gentle enzyme exfoliator! 07.01.2022 "My skin feels dry, which facial oil would you recommend?" Here are my two cents on facial oils: they can be dangerous! Why? because they create a negative feedback system for you skin. Your skin, in turn, stops or reduces its own, natural oil production because it's expecting to be topped up with a facial oil. Use sparingly - once per month for example to target a specific skin concern. Otherwise?
