21.01.2022 World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is held on June 15 every year to raise awareness about abuse and neglect of older persons and raising awareness of the cultural, social, economic and demographic processes affecting elder abuse and neglect. "Lifting Up Voices" is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day's theme launched by USC Center on Elder Mistreatment. This theme serves as a platform for unifying Elder Justice and Violence Against Women by sharing the lived experiences of older people. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the UN proposed the campaign, "Safeguard older persons during COVID-19 and beyond" for the betterment of the elderly. #WEAAD

Our auxiliary have now meet for the last time and it is with great pride to thank them for their commitment and contributions to TDN.

Aged Care Employee Day is a national day to acknowledge the more than 360,000 dedicated people who care for and support around 1.3 million older Australians.... This year, we say a special thank you for their continuing devotion in protecting so many vulnerable people from the coronavirus pandemic. The day is designed to celebrate each and every team member involved in the journey of caring for older Australians - from nurses, personal care workers and allied health professionals, to chefs, cleaners, gardeners, managers and volunteers.
