07.01.2022 https://au.news.yahoo.com/coronavirus-vets-warn-over-danger This shouldnt have to be said , but I am seeing posts all over social media of dogs with masks on to make the point that humans should be wearing them . It may be a joke and the mask may only be on for seconds while the photo is being taken , but it is still dangerous and upsetting for most dogs . Please dont joke about this because as we know theres plenty of dopes out there doing it for real . It doesnt take Einstein to realise dogs noses are positioned differently to ours and the minute they breathe in the mask clings to their nose . Dont just dont

07.01.2022 I was so honoured to spend the day with the team from @Pets on the Point the day after filming of pooch perfect finished , getting some stunning Dogs ready for before and after shots for each episode . Some made it on and some didnt , but it was so Much fun and getting to see the set was amazing . It was so well done

07.01.2022 Poor Mr OJs legs are giving out on him , so his loving parents got him some very smart booties to help him keep traction on the floor . However they took their vets advice literally that they could keep them on all the time . But then covid happened and somehow time flew and it was 5 months before I saw him again . In that time the hair on his feet had grown and having nowhere to go it started to encase his feet and form hard knots between his pads which would have been so uncomfortable to walk on . Thankfully his feet are now footloose and fancy free, and OJs parents now understand they should take the booties off regularly and check how his feet are going . Run free OJ

06.01.2022 Sounds great doesnt it . But lets dig a little deeper and see whats really going on here . There are certainly some good initiatives on the table like protecting the brumbies and banning live exports . But it goes far deeper than just protecting animals The AJP ( animal justice party ) seeks to - phase out the sale of companion animals including birds , reptiles and fish, other than from shelters or rescues Dogs and cats come under the companion animal umbrella so... this applies to them as well . While there is no denying puppy farms are an abomination , there are many excellent back yard breeders selling quality puppies to satisfy demand . Will the laws mean these breeders disappear , or be able to just charge even more , making these popular breeds inaccessible to the average person . Either way , much less availability will affect all aspects of the pet industry . From the groomers , to our suppliers , to the vets etc etc , The AJP wants rabbits , guinea pigs and rats to only be bred by licenced breeders under strict controls . Given that many children cannot have larger companion animals , this will impact their ability to enjoy ownership of these animals The AJP also seeks to end all animal racing , including greyhound racing which is to be rapidly phased out . There will be no rodeos , horse drawn carriage rides , hunting or game fishing There will be no birds allowed in cages Circuses and marine parks would be shut down This one does my head in . They wish to repeal the breed specific legislation laws . Like wtf , this means dangerous breeds will be back on the streets to wreak their well known havoc Oh and last but not least , the AJP advocates a plant based diet free of all products derived from animals thank you very much In short , the AJP seeks to suck the joy out of our lives , and eventually seperate us from ownership of all domestic animals . So before you go gleefully voting for these oxygen thieves , think a little carefully about what all these things will mean to our economy and our quality of life
