22.01.2022 Social distancing applies to dog parks too! This evening I walked past a popular off leash dog park and was horrified to see a group of about 30 dog owners stan...ding close together having a group chat while their dogs romped around. COVID -19 is serious business - PLEASE listen to the experts and respect the need for us all to stay at least 1.5m away from other people. It is OK to spend some time outside provided you distance yourself from other people and avoid busy areas like shopping strips and busy streets. Exercise is very important for your dog’s physical and mental wellbeing, so it’s a good opportunity to have walks together but PLEASE stop the dog group catch ups for now.. We must work together to create distance between us to help slow the spread of the disease. I know it’s hard and I am also finding it a very difficult and stressful time but we must do this together in order to get out the other side. Dog owners please unite on this

01.01.2022 Introducing Delta Dan (left) and Delta Dot (right). They’re raring to get back to work, helping young kids learn how to read dogs body language and when to leav...e dogs alone, when and how to pat a dog safely and what to do if approached by a dog. Over 70,000 children in Tasmania have enjoyed a Delta Dog Safe visit to their school or childcare centre and Dan and Dot can’t wait to make that number grow! The program is fully funded by the Department of Health, there's no cost to schools or students. Please share this post with any early childhood teachers and child carers that you know! BOOKINGS can be made online at deltadogsafetas.org.au or email [email protected] See more
