25.01.2022 Our Year Ones have been practicing their design skills in the last few weeks! As part of a unit on technological thinking, students were asked to design, make, and reflect on the success of a bed for Goldilocks to sleep in! Goldilocks was specific in her request. Her bed needed to be comfortable to sleep in, and had to be off the ground... (not too low, not too high, but JUST RIGHT!)... The students rose to the challenge, working in groups to create and make their designs. How do you think they went?

23.01.2022 Our little investigators in Prep A checked out the properties of different 3D shapes. We investigated spheres in particular, to choose a ball that would best most suitable to use in a game of indoor bowling! This is a great example of how simple games and play experiences can be fantastic teachable moments in and out of the classroom.

23.01.2022 LVSS Playgroup is on in the Library Annex every Thursday from 9.15am - 10.45am! There's no cost for this service; we only ask you bring along a water bottle for yourself and your little one, and a little morning tea. Come and join the fun with Chelsey this week!

13.01.2022 2C has been busily using our higher order thinking skills to program bee bots, a simple device designed to teach programming algorithms to students, to learn and perform a sequence of steps. Our favourite part was racing the bee bots to see who could get the sequence right first!
