25.01.2022 This term, our Junior School students gathered with music teacher, Miss Hartmann, to ‘make their mark’ in the world. The Dot illustrates the power of one single adult's actions to change a child's life. It speaks to the importance of teacher-student relationships, and our connections as human beings. It shows how creative thinking on the part of a teacher can unlock a child's own creativity, confidence, and growth. There is nothing better than seeing what a child can create j...ust with a little bit of encouragement, each ‘mark’ different to the next. The students came together in the Auditorium to celebrate creating their own dot with The Dot Song. When you make make make a mark, all you gotta do is start ~Miss Hartmann #dotsong #makeamark

22.01.2022 Our Year 8's have been learning about Cells, The Cell Theory and the inner workings of cells in Science this semester. They have been particularly excited to learn about the structure of cells and the functions of all the organelles found in them. To strengthen their knowledge in this area, the students were asked to build a model of a cell of their choice, label it correctly and then be quizzed on it as part of their assessment. Students went all out and produced the most a...mazing pieces of work, made from recycled materials and art supplies. Some were even edible. Science never tasted so good! ~ Mrs Wentzel

20.01.2022 Previous Essington student Jordan from Headspace, along with Shaylee and Ira have been working with our Year 9 students, teaching them about Mental Health. The students gained an understanding of how to look after their own mental health, what to do to assist others and learned about some of the common mental health disorders. We thank headspace for their time and effort in working with our students.
