19.01.2022 After posting the shot of one of Australia's smallest freshwater fish previously, and a cool water species at that, here is a shot of the largest real freshwate...r fish in Australia, the Murray Cod, Maccullochella peeli, a 100cm specimen snapped at Snobs Creek Hatchery in Victoria many years ago with the help of Alex Caughey. The species has been badly affected by the drought in many parts of its range but hopefully will recover eventually. See more
