25.01.2022 Have you been to the new Taste in Red Hill? Conveniently just up the road from #thefoundrystudios they sport the golden trifecta - original branding and hand painted signage by #frankandmimi, comprehensive fit out by #taltysargent and stocking Bee One Third - Neighbourhood Honey. Feature by Must Do Brisbane

23.01.2022 Shilo Engelbrecht completely transformed The Foundry Studios for her Open Studio session last weekend! Next stop, Bangalow!...in her concept store from the 30th of this month till Christmas.

23.01.2022 Monday bloody Monday. #whataday. Our first extraction in the new glass cage at @thekitchensrobina. We harvested 23 boxes from the 36 on site field hives , 216 f...rames, uncapped all by hand using serrated knives, with remaining cappings scratched then placed in our new 24 frame Custom horizontal 'J Bee' extractor. It was a 5am start and a midnight finish, all for the most engaging and entertaining day extracting we've ever been a part of. The honey, all 400kgs of it, will be available from mid January throughout the Kitchens precinct at Robina Town Centre. If you're on the coast tomorrow, Wednesday, come by to witness us try something new - I like to call it #thekitchens #forkliftfilter. Just you wait...! See more

16.01.2022 "The idea of the experience economy provides an interesting lens through which to consider the revival of hand-making, as I think that, aside from ethical and environmental concerns, what a lot of people are after is an experience embedded into the objects they buy, be it through the story of the maker, the material, the design or even the act of exchange itself." - Beautiful words by Richard Stride (co-curator of the recent Apprenticeship exhibition at Artisan, featured on Garland magazine. Also shared is a beaut case study on our very own Clare Kennedy of Five mile radius from The Foundry Studios.
