04.01.2022 This week's blog is on Recycling! Yaaayyy (I'm sure this topic just makes you all so excited!) I know it probably doesn't, but it is actually pretty damn rewarding when your bin at the end of the week keeps getting less and less full. ... And I want everyone to feel as excited as I do for recycling (don't worry Im definitely joking). When Mark Speakman (our NSW Attorney General) was asked at Plastic Free Cronullas Exhibition last year "is our recycling system ever going to be fixed and become more efficient?" His response was "The change needs to come from the consumers, we need to reduce the amount going to landfill" Now as much as I think the government should be doing ALOT more especially on the education side, he is unfortunately right. Without the government stepping in and making the process easy and simple for EVERYONE, other businesses have stepped up to fill the void and we as consumers need to take our own actions. In this Blog, I have outlined 5 ways you can dramatically reduce your household landfill! I know its not a super exciting topic, but I believe it's vital that we all at least understand how to reduce our waste and be educated on methods and systems that we all have access to in Australia.
