20.01.2022 UPDATE ON TANGO'S TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS Rita has had confirmation today of Tango's travel arrangements. Tango is on track to arrive in Tasmania on Thursday 3 December.... Tango will be taken to Port Macquarie where she will be picked up by Dogtainers on Tuesday the 1st of December to commence her long journey to Tasmania. Tango will stay overnight in Sydney, and leave the next day to travel by road to Melbourne, where she will again stay overnight at a boarding facility. On Thursday the 3rd she will fly on a chartered flight across Bass Strait to Devonport. Tango will be leaving Melbourne around 9pm. Pick up time in Devonport will be midnight. On arrival Tango will be exhausted, bewildered, frightened and so stressed. For Tango’s benefit she will be taken straight to Rita’s good friend and next door neighbour Kathy’s home to settle in after her long ordeal. Kathy is a long term member and supporter of the Foundation. Rita and Kathy are planning to take turns sitting with her all night if necessary and give her the comfort she will need to help her settle. Kathy knows the necessity of having a box of tissues on hand for Rita. She will be very emotional with memories of finding Hannah that are bound to come flooding back.

12.01.2022 Taz is having his breakfast this morning out on the deck in the sunshine. He still has stitches in his mouth where he had to have one of his top Canines removed because it was broken and had the nerve exposed. The rest of his teeth are really good. Ronnie took Taz to Launceston last Wednesday to have a extensive Ultrasound on his spleen. James, Taz’s Vet, had done an Ultrasound when he removed his tooth. This showed some changes in his spleen that needed to be checked out mor...e extensively. You can see under his tummy where the hair has to be shaved for the procedure to be done. James was pleased with the results at this point in time. The spleen is enlarged and showing some changes but nothing to be of a concern at the moment. We now are just keeping a close eye on the beautiful old boy.
