25.01.2022 "What happens to you is a direct or indirect consequence of what you have done or have failed to do" - Dr Doug Lee. In other words, your current state of achievement and happiness (or the lack of them...) are entirely consequences of your mindsets and habits. If you are successful and happy, then your mindsets and habits have served you well. Keep doing what you have been doing.... However, if you are floundering and unhappy, it means some of your mindsets and habits have led you down the wrong path. If you keep doing what you've been doing, you will keep getting what you've been getting. If you wish to get out of this quagmire, you'll have to adjust some of your mindsets and habits, change direction, and do things differently. Life coaches are people who can help you identify what the malfunctioning mindsets and habits are and how to adjust them.

If you make a lot of people around you happy, then you can't help but be happy. If you consistently make the people around you unhappy, they, in return, will dump unhappiness back onto you. If you ever ask yourself: "Why am I so unlucky that happiness always eludes me?", you need not look any further for your answer.

05.01.2022 Musings on Father’s Day Today is Father’s Day in Australia and I wish all ye fathers a happy and well-deserved Father’s Day I am very happy for, and proud of, my children’s accomplishments. I am indebted, and very grateful, to my wife, who has given me these lovely children and raised them with me. There isn’t an absolute right way to raise children. Each family has its unique circumstances and each child has his/her unique personality.... Today, I would like to just share my thoughts of being a father with you. MY Mission Statement as a father: My primary mission is to prepare my children for a self-sufficient and happy adulthood in the real world, which can be beautiful and rewarding as well as dangerous and hurtful. At the very least, I wanted to raise them so that when they grow up. they will not be a burden to society or a purveyor of unhappiness. Wishing for more, I hope they develop a social conscience and passion for people and nature. I hope they can be of service to society so that they may bring happiness to, and enrich the lives of, many with whom they may cross paths. Pampering and indulgence are not in my mission statement for my children My MO as a father: I don’t flatten the obstacles in front of my children in order to make their journey smoother and easier. I would rather teach them how to overcome those obstacles. If I could have one wish for them, I would wish they were better to handle the challenges life throws at them rather than wishing life is easier for them. I would encourage them to find their own ways in life without I holding their hands, rather than demand they do what I want them to do. I would offer advice rather than solve their problems for them. I don’t walk beside them to catch them lest they fall. I prefer to see them get back up on their own feet after a fall rather than walking close behind to pick them up every time they fall. However, I will never be very far behind. If they are hurt so bad after a fall that they are unable to get up, I will always be there to pick them up.
