11.01.2022 JIB SERIES v9 This photo shows the v9 version of the JIB-538 fin design, this version represents the most extreme version of the cutaway. The intent behind this... version was to have the two extremes (v5 and v9) to compare against each other to gather as much data as possible. We are now working on a v10 version of this design that is a little less extreme and is probably going to be the final choice. This design is what would be considered the STANDARD large fin in a quad setup. It is a taller fin than the previous version at 5 3/8". The main reason for this is to compensate for the loss of area in the fin, by increasing the height. Plus this design's primary goal is to shift the working area of the fin up and away from the laminar flow along the bottom of the board where the blade of the fin can operate more effectively in clean water. As soon as we have one of the v10 fins made up we will post it as well.
