23.01.2022 Now that the dust has finally settled we would like to announce a few thank you's to some people that went above and beyond the call of duty in assisting us with this years event. So much goes into the running of a competition and without the help of these people we would not have been able to get the competition over the line and assist us with raising funds for a cause that means so much to a number of families. These people are;... The Alphafit team Reebok Gary Jeffress Paul McCargo Lisa Low Leisa Rudland Penny Turner Simon Jones Gold Coast Legacy Margaret Gunnell The team from RACV Royal Pines Lastly we would like to thank the teams and atheltes that made the event for what it was, without you the event would be nothing and we appreciate the mutual support for Legacy. The way the competition was challenged, truly was in the spirit of the event. We apologise for the scoring mix up over the weekend which did see some anomolies for Events 1 and 8 but apon review well after the event concluded, it was too far gone to be able to do anything. We apologise for this but feel the strongest teams were represented in the finals and placings. We look forward to 2016 with the event date going to be made earlier in the year to avoid any clashes with other competitions. And ensure all teams have the opportunity to field their strongest athletes. We will advise this in the very near future. We feel we have secured a long term venue for the event in Royal Pines and would like to turn next years competition into a real showcase for the sport, and are looking to attract a wider national and international competition base. We are also looking to turn the event back into the major stall holders exhibition for the Gold Coast and will also look to announce something in the very near future. We are also accepting nominations to join our committee for 2016 to asist with turning the event into the premier teams competition it is. Thanks again.
19.01.2022 Hi everyone we would like to announce that Rookie and I have decided we will not be holding this years event. Due to the unexpected health scare Rookie has been through we would like him to concentrate on his recovery and not have the stress that goes with organising and running an event such as Immortals. We have discussed our plans for 2017 and considering Rookie's improved health we are scheduling to bring it back and make it bigger and better than ever. We would like to t...hank everyone that has been involved in assisting Rookie and I up until now but more than ever they guys from Alphafit, who stand up and deliver every year beyond our expectations. I hope this doesn't ruin anyones annual GC trip but anyone that still wishes to come up i will accomodate them with a beer and Rookie can join us for a soda water. Thanks for your understanding.
