25.01.2022 We have had 6 cancelations so those places are available.

23.01.2022 Our original arrangement with the Hotel was booking arrangements were to be made through them . The group owning the hotel banned live music until Christmas . The manager Suggested getting round that by giving us the room incognito but didnt tell me booking had to be done through the band. When he did on Thursday I posted the new email address for booking [email protected] and we sold out in three days. My apologies to every who missed out . I hope to see you all on the 13th August ,Rob

22.01.2022 If you are looking at being at our opening on Thursday July 16th. I would strongly advise booking NOW ! We are looking at a full house.

17.01.2022 A very successful night for our first . The next on the 13th August sold out within 24 hrs. with a waiting list . We are now taking bookings for the 10th. September.

16.01.2022 Jazz is about innovation. Being new and fresh every time . Thats what makes it especially challenging and exciting for the audience . For that reason we will be featuring a new vocalist every month .

16.01.2022 The club starts on 16th July with a house band (five members including female vocalist) from a pool of professional musicians. We rotate the line up each event giving each one a chance to play and add variety. The hotel has postponed paying for any live music until Christmas. They will contribute to paying for additional guests from then. Until they do we cannot take the chance of hiring other performers unless they can guarantee an audience in addition to the regulars and sufficient to pay themselves. I strongly disapprove of musicians working for free so don't ask. The whole point of the club and my radio program Jazz Café is to support professional musicians in Perth therefore the musicians involved must be paid.

07.01.2022 In support of our Eastern States brothers in arms I will be playing music from the Eastern States exclusively on Jazz Café, Friday 17th August. Tune and hear the other side.

06.01.2022 I am now getting several performers , mainly unknown to me applying to play at the club . Here is my standard reply: We require Jazz and Blues performers, who are already popular and can guarantee viable audience numbers . If that's you we will be happy to put you on our list. Later on we can take risks with unknown acts. Several of us also present on local radio so we can promote your bands appearance through our radio programs using your recording which you need to send us but you also need to do your own promotion. Im sure you will understand the first few months are crucial to the survival of the club.
