We believe the whole idea about having a lavender farm is to add beauty to nature, and the organic approach seems to be the most respectful one. It has been a good year to understand all aspects of lavender and we are inspired by all the wisdom and creativit...y that our predecessors have brought to this beautiful little plant. I found it very fascinating to read about ancient techniques of extraction, such as enfleurage to obtain absolute, while my engineer husband could not put down his scientific books about theory of distillation, partial pressures and other such odd topics. There will be lot of hard work to come and our lavender story will continue! See more
