24.01.2022 LXG CHRISTMAS EVENT 6th December We usually ask people to bring a plate and the club buys pizza. Because of Covid 19 there is a new plan this year (to help us avoid sharing food and any bugs we may have!) This year Francesca will be serving a Xmas themed selection of food and treats from the canteen and all these will be free. In addition drinks will be free (till we run out!)... NOTE Our numbers at the November meeting were at 75. Current restrictions allow us a limit of 100. Make sure you register at the club facebook site to ensure yourself a place at the Xmas meeting. We may be required to turn people away who have not pre-registered if it means we will exceed our limits. Avoid disappointment and register now. How to Register? 24.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR LXG MEETING 15th-16th AUGUST The Contract Bridge Club will need to use the main hall on Saturday 15th August so LXG will open at 5pm that day and we will continue through till midnight. 22.01.2022 LEGENDS OF WINTER 2020 The Legends format will follow the Summer 2020 model. There will be 15 games listed as being Legendary Games. If you play in one of those titles during the weekend you will be eligible to win a Meeples trophy for that game. Your points scored across all Legendary Games go toward detemining the Legend of Winter player who receives; (a) The Mega- Meeple trophy (b) The right to nominate a game to be purchased for the LXG library... You are responsible for organising your own Legendary Games. To be eligible for scoring you must have paid the Legends of Winter tournament fee of $5 (we are using a flat one off fee this time to minimise transactions). You can play a title as many times as you like to try and make sure you have the biggest score in that game. 15.01.2022 Don't forget that the LXG Legends Weekend on the 15th and 16th August starts at 5pm on Saturday and 9am on Sunday. There is no cover charge (however if you want to compete in games for meeple Trophies you need to pay an all weekend fee of $5). Otherwise just play in social games! 14.01.2022 A big thanks to President Eddie for running Advanced Heroquest - there has been some good feedback from the players and he's inspired me to run an ongoing Space Crusade Campaign at the club starting January 2021. Three Chapters so let me know if you want to play.

Due to COVID precautions there will be a couple of changes: 1. during the draft all players must wear latex gloves (or equivalent, while handling cards which will be passed around the table 2. basic land will still be provided however do not return the land after the draft, it's yours to keep

Legends of Winter is FREE for members i.e. no COVID cleaning fee due to a donation from a generous member.
