12.01.2022 Some, but not all may be aware of ex CD and soldier Clay Watts fight with cancer. In late 2018 Clay was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer which currently tracks at about a 8-9% 5 year survival rate. Its been a long haul since then with chemotherapy, radiation treatment, surgery, and now another 6 months of chemo in front of him and his family. One of his goals for 2020 is to increase awareness of what is still considered to be an incurable cancer and join the mystery box rally... to raise funds for research. Weve managed to secure a place in August next year where well be driving to unknown locations given to us the night before that well need to find each day via off road trails in outback Queensland with a 25 year old 2wd. Clay is weighing in at a lean 58 kg of skin and bones, he falls asleep easily and has trouble gripping things due to peripheral neuropathy in his hands from the chemo... as such hell be designated driver. I cant find my arse with both hands so Im duty navigator. The rally rules require a car that is 2 wheel drive and greater than 25 years old. Fortunately if we get stuck mechanically we are both highly skilled at pulling things apart and getting someone else to put them back together and/or hitting them with a hammer. Its a participation only event and were there to win, we are the Leo Wanker Stunt Team. 03.01.2022 So a little more on this professional driver and his navigator. Clay is obviously been doing this sort of thing for sometime, no not that thing in picture 1, we mean taking utes and blokes into remote places in the bush and getting back to nature.
