17.01.2022 Hey, we've been a bit quiet here, but VERY active at The LifeWise Centre. Now we've had a bit of a break, and we'll soon be open for business again. It's been such a scary, grim start to the year, so we are again sending out our best wishes for the rest of 2020 .. maybe it's already been unforgettable, and you're wanting a little more quiet. So we wish for you whatever you are needing this year.

17.01.2022 Connecting positively with kids helps them learn how to make positive connection themselves, a key to developing good relationships.

13.01.2022 Last week was National Child Protection week across Australia. Let's make every week a week for protecting children, doing all we can all do to keep kids safe and healthy - good for physical AND mental health, as well as overall wellbeing and development. NAPCAN has some good tips to check out

12.01.2022 Not always an easy time for parents or kids - that first few days of school. We need to remember as parents, we're the ones who can give reassuring messages, letting our kids know we expect them to be OK and to have a good time at school. kidsmatter has some great little books to download for kids to use - encourage communication!!

12.01.2022 A great Professional Development - polish your skills, add another approach and understanding to your professional options. www.lifewise.com.au

10.01.2022 Fantastic day- 400+ people exploring services helping children. Very excited about our Lifewise package and unique finger puppets for #emotioncoaching

10.01.2022 We're focused on helping kids (and their adults) learn about emotions. When we really attend to kids' emotions, we can help them understand better what's happening inside - as well as what's the outcome behaviour we might see. It's really good for our relationship, too - so practice being an emotion coach .

10.01.2022 Bubbles, babies, kiddos, parents and grandparents - a great morning, fun and helpful as well.

10.01.2022 Sad, angry, powerless - find comfort in small things. Later, maybe, speak out for change

09.01.2022 Growing Kind kids - some tips to try, when you want to keep the kindness coming.

09.01.2022 Pass on a hug or two - it helps, sometimes more than words..

08.01.2022 Getting back to school and work often means we need to be more intentional about connecting with our kids. Here's a tip for fun connection: Get SillyGiggle! Try some silly mirroring activities, matching movements of your child and having your child then match your movements. This can be a fun game that can be done with adolescents as well as younger children. Find as many ways as you can to be silly and laugh. Research shows that laughter is one of the very best ways to connect. Let loose, laugh!

07.01.2022 We're all tuned-in to music this week. Music makes us smile, laugh, cry, sing, dance, remember the good times, deal with the bad times. Music is powerful and can really help us to live well. So - how about a play list ?

07.01.2022 A little more about keeping kids safe ...
