18.01.2022 HOW CORONAVIRUS IMPACTS YOUR TREATMENT AT THE LOOK ORTHO At The Look Orthodontics, we are taking the COVID-19 pandemic very seriously. We are monitoring the situation and will follow the recommendations of the Australian Dental Association (ADA). In order to ensure the safety of our patients and staff members, we will continue to closely adhere to the CDC and ADAs guidelines regarding sterilization and sanitizing.... At this time our practice will remain open to meet the needs of our patients. However, we will be taking the following actions to minimize the risk associated with the virus: If the answer to any of these questions is yes, please reschedule your appointment. 1 Have you been out of the country in the last 14 days? 2 Have you been in contact with someone who has been confirmed to have COVID-19? 3 Do you have a cough, fever or any respiratory symptoms? We ask that patients try to come to their appointment alone or with only one parent or guardian to try to limit the people in our reception area. If you are having any orthodontic concerns, we will be happy to address them by email or over the phone. We will be removing books and magazines from the waiting room. We have made hand sanitizer available throughout the practice and encourage you to use them before and after your appointment. 09.01.2022 APPOINTMENTS NOW AVAILABLE Following the easing of compulsory COVID-19 government restrictions, it has now become safe for us to resume most of our practice procedures. We are accepting new patients, starting new orthodontic treatments, and focusing on those adjustments that may have missed their visit during the lock down period.... Unfortunately, the current Level 2 Dental restrictions means that due to the creation of aerosols (fine mist) when braces are removed, we will NOT be allowing this procedure until the restrictions are reduced further. We hope that this is not too far away, and our team is eager to get braces off for all those patiently waiting. We will be working double time to get the job done, so we ask that you bear with us for now. Ultimately, this decision is for the safety of our patients, staff and wider community. 04.01.2022 To our patients, Due to an update in workplace restrictions by the Victorian State Government we are now permitted to see URGENT CARE only. Our clinics will remain staffed at selected locations and dates for URGENT CARE. What happens if I have URGENT CARE? If you have any concerns/problems/breakages over this period please refer to our website first. It not solved using the online advice, take an image of the area of concern and email to [email protected] with the patient... name and DOB. We will contact you to assist further. Many orthodontic concerns may not be considered URGENT. How long will we remain closed? At this stage it seems that we will remain closed to regular appointments until the 28th of September 2020. As this situation is rapidly changing this date may change. We will regularly update our page with further information.
