21.01.2022 Milkbar-during-Roadworks-Update: Due to the roadworks only being Mon-Fri we decided to give it a go opening up- amongst the chaos- on the weekend. It went ok, so in the future - so long as people can still find their way safely to our door; we will try to remain open every weekend. We are also trying to give Mondays to Fridays another go this week, but already this morning there were disruptions with loss of water as a direct result of the works, which are literally on our d...oorstep. So, unfortunately this idea of opening weekdays, may not last. Will keep you all posted xx See more

12.01.2022 Let's get creative!!! Today, although the trees bled- we did save them. I am grateful for everyone involved; Sam & Stewart from Somerset Council & Kamran from TMR, Shane from Bellwether & the very skilful arborist Sam from #samstreeservice for allowing me to have the opportunity to give the timber another chance at life. With some quick phone calls this morning and 1 piece of A4 paper to sign, we were able to save some of the larger branches and the trunks and root balls from... the 2 trees felled today on William St from being mulched in the chipper. Council delivered the rescued timber to our property late this afternoon. Now to immortalise the timber in artistic pieces...!

11.01.2022 Dear Customers, The roadworks have finally arrived so see you again in the Summer!!!! It is with regret we have no choice but to announce temporary closure during the roadworks. ... Today, quite by surprise, and not in accordance with the stages we had previously been notified by and agreed to with council and TMR; the safety barriers, fences, bollards and cones were brought in on BOTH sides of our shop at once. Furthermore, we have been told the entire blocking out from the visual and physical barriers are to remain for a solid 3 months instead of small stages... which include digging up the water mains around our shop, reconfiguring drainage/curb/guttering works, further roadworks and future resurfacing. TMR have advised that the current proposed roadworks on our intersection will be a long, noisy, dusty process taking it from a quiet 6 lane simple intersection to a complicated 12 lane highway junction. The a Minister of Transport is our last hope to save this from actually occurring.... but that is another story... On a positive note though, we will try to use this time to make the following improvements to the Milkbar: Expanding the kitchen Installation of all new air-conditioning New tables and seating delish new menu Stay beautiful xx See you on the other side xx Sarah & The Team :)

03.01.2022 Big changes this week to The Milkbar corner. OPENING HOURS UPDATE: 6.30am -2.00pm WEEKENDS ONLY... Roadworks cracking on at a fast pace Unfortunately after trying very hard to stay open alongside the work... we have had to pull the pin on the idea and close on weekdays as there are just not enough people venturing round, which is understandable. However, we are happy to say at this stage we will still be able to function 2 days a week, offering our full menu on weekends. As always service with a smile Please drop in and say Hi
