Posted @withregram @creativehobart The City of Hobart is commissioning a series of four temporary public art commissions, by solo arts practitioners or small teams of arts practitioners, each offering a response to the statue of William Crowther in Franklin Square. Responses can be from artists working in any art form visual arts, performing ar...ts, literature, sound, music, design or any other hybrid art form. The four works will present diverse perspectives and selected projects will aim to acknowledge, question, provoke discussion or increase awareness about the story of William Crowther and William Lanne. Applications are welcome from all artists, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal. At least two of the four proposals selected will be by Tasmanian Aboriginal people.
