22.01.2022 Big Day out in Pomona today !!! Pomona Country Markets starts at 7.30am and runs till 11am. Lots of fresh locally grown produce & other goodies. Head to the Majestic Theatre Pomona for the Silent Film at 12 noon after the markets finish. This week "The Last Days of Pompeii" 1913. Packed with love, sandal & intrigue in the days leading up to the eruption of Mt Vesuvius. $$15 Adults and free for kids. Bar opens 11.30. Lots of snacks & refreshments.... And don't forget to drop in to the Cooroy/Pomona Lions Club book fest being held under the Community House. On till 2pm Great days entertainment right in the heart of the hinterland.

Its Halloween ......... so after you've finished with the nightmare of voting why not head down to the Majestic Theatre for 12 noon when we start our Hitchcock Halloween off with a classic 1929 Hitchcock silent move. 20.01.2022 A massive scary thunderstorm was all we could deliver at the Majestic Theatre Pomona for Halloween night last weekend. We lost power and couldn't have our Halloween Party ...... but all is not lost .... we're giving it another go .... Friday 13th November ... go figure ... what a great re-launch date for Hitchcock's scary Psycho movie and a great excuse to get dressed in your best goonish fashions and be in the running for prizes. 19.01.2022 A fabulous time was had by all the children who came to visit us at the Majestic Theatre Pomona in the past week as you can see by the photos! Pomona Early Childhood Centre came to visit for a tour of the theatre and loved their time reliving and learning about the history of the theatre and hearing the amazing sounds of the Compton Organ. Pomona State School also visited to view a silent film and were an absolute delight. From all the laughter they obviously loved watching ...7 Chances and the slap stick comedy of Buster Keaton. Last Thursday was "Family Fun Day" with the screening of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It was a huge success! Chitty Chitty even came to visit at the theatre which was a huge surprise. !!!! All the kids were absolutely fabulous. And it was a delight to have them at the theatre. A big thank you to the parents, carers and teachers for bringing them along and supporting this important community asset that they may care for in the coming years. A huge thank you goes out to our volunteers for their help. And lastly a HUGE thank you to the kids !! You all rock !!!
