07.01.2022 ATTENTION ALL METTWURST AND SALAMI LOVERS. I just thought I would comment on the current Linke's Mettwurst and pepperoni recall. Firstly we do not sell the Linke's brand. This company is a true icon of South Australia.I remember (as many would) being driven up to the Barossa with Mum,Dad,Aunty,Uncle,cousins brother and sister on a mission to buy Linke's Mettwurst and then a tin of dill gurkins.This was a ritual for my family for many years.Usually in summer.... So I would like to congratulate them on having the foresight to actually themselves come forward and alert health authorities of their concerns. These manufacturers must check each and every batch of mettwurst,pepperoni,salami etc. that they make during and after production. IT IS ONGOING. We hope that actions like this although they aren't the best thing to see in the headlines will help to make people realise that these companies are trying there very best to keep quality standards at their highest priority. TO ADD: NO CONSUMERS AT THIS STAGE HAVE COME FORWARD WITH ANY SIGNS OF ILLNESS.
