25.01.2022 Our sister from another mister Miss Sheri called in to check on progress while she was visiting from Kilkivan. She may have downed a bevy or 2 at the Mucka when Mitch owned it. Hope we live up to expectation when we open!! Don’t forget to post your photos and check in while you’re calling past. We love how many cars beep and wave from the highway. 24.01.2022 Slab Party!!! So as if the week wasn’t exciting enough the pub slab was poured on Friday! A huuuuge shout out to our squad who worked their backsides off to make sure it all went smoothly. Feeling very 2nd hand today but the slab was certainly christened. Thanks everyone and a special mention to the clean up committee who got in this morning and had the site spotless by the time we got there. We really did not feel like dealing with that so whoever it was, we love you!

22.01.2022 What a fortnight it’s been!! And most exciting...the footings were poured today!! Huuuge shout out to the Brett, Jack & Dylan from Brett Pollock Constructions. Brendan and the lads from Grulke Concreting. And as always our awesome crew from RA & KJ Pollock construction. Rob, Jack, Ollie and Jamie. We are just a teeny bit excited today!!

21.01.2022 Will ya look at the size of this stick! 11 metres long, originally from a bridge at the Sunshine Coast. Lovingly turned into a Mucka Pub truss by Kennedy’s Timber! Thank you Michael, Cherie and all the staff at Kennedy’s. He will be known from now on as Big Ken!

13.01.2022 Today was the day. The day the guys from RA & KJ Pollock builders were headed out to put up the perimeters for a start on Monday. And what happened? 20mls so far of glorious soaking rain!! That’s what happened. You’re welcome!

11.01.2022 1 year ago today that we lost our favourite place. I remember the phone call. I remember sitting across the road watching the firies trying to save it. I remember the look on poor Suzanne and Johns faces. It was the saddest day ever. But we are nearly there. The rebuild starts on Monday. 1 year and 2 days since the old pub burnt down.

It is because you we live in the best country in the world and we will never be able to thank you enough. To their families, we appreciate the sacrifice you and yours have made for our safety and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them. Lest we Forget.

10.01.2022 Ladies and Gentlemen! Introducing BIG KEN!! Our 11metre Long, 1.3tonne recycled timber truss is in place. Rob from RA & KJ Pollock builders searched high and low for the perfect timber for us and it was worth the wait. The old school carpentry that has gone into making this happen has been mind blowing and we can’t thank our builders enough. You guys are amazing and we are loving watching you create not just a pub, but our dream pub. Also a huuuge shout out to our bestie and all round good guy Carl Smith who I can never tag but does a millions things for us and we appreciate all of it Carlos!

09.01.2022 Friday night beers at the site have become a bit of a tradition. Last night was our last Friday drinks where we can see the moon and stars from the slab. You know what that means? Roof week coming up!!

03.01.2022 When the pub burnt down last year we were all devastated. Spare a thought for the people who originally built it Carol and Mel Jones. Yesterday Deb bought her Mum (and original owner of the Muckadilla Oasis) Carol to check on our progress. Thank you so much for calling in ladies. Can’t wait to sit on the verandah with you when it’s finished!
