21.01.2022 We’ve just renewed another six level crossings that’s 62 we’ve completed as part of the essential North East Rail Line upgrade. Works are continuing this wee...kend with Witt St and Carroll Rd, Benalla and High St, Violet Town level crossings being completed as well as works continuing on the Mitchell St rail overpass in Benalla. Delays may also be experienced at Arundel and Nunn St level crossings. As always please take care around rail works, follow traffic signage and all extra travel time. 10.01.2022 This morning I was joined by Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson to announce $28 million in NSW Government funding for the Tamworth Intermodal Rail Line, support...ing regional NSW’s freight sector and creating hundreds of regional jobs. This investment will fund works to reinstate a section of non-operational railway line, support the development of an intermodal rail facility in Westdale and link Tamworth to the state’s major port, saving businesses significant freight costs. In 2016, 482 million tonnes of freight was moved in NSW and with that volume expected to increase to 618 million tonnes by 2036, this project is one of the big picture infrastructure investments delivered by the NSW Government to help Tamworth and regional NSW’s industry succeed. #nswpol Kevin Anderson MP Tamworth Regional Council

03.01.2022 Construction of Inland Rail’s very first section, ‘Parkes to Narromine’ in Central West NSW, is officially complete! More than 1800 people worked on the proje...ct (including more than 760 locals) and over $100 million was spent with 99 local businesses , including $14.1 million with Indigenous businesses a big boost to the local economy.
