25.01.2022 Only One Month until Christmas! There’s no denying, 2020 has been a turbulent year, Drought, Dust, Covid, Rain, Harvest and now, Christmas is finally here! Nature sent its Worst and nature gave its Best,... Hope was restored, humanity was Reset Stand Together, Strive Together, Strong Together we said. Locals Supporting Locals United our Community and put us in good stead - To survive Covid 19 and keep everyone safe from the enemy no one could see, The Next Grind kept baking and working whilst resigned to the fact, Well What will be, Will be! The Community rallied around us, friendships were formed and acts of kindness shown. Customers going Above and Beyond - support and love showered like I’ve never known. As a nation we rediscovered the importance of family and freedom, along with celebrating joy in Simple Pleasures. The Heavens opened, rain fell, creeks ran again, the Land rejuvenated, giving us Hope and things Beyond Measure Our hearts are now bursting, there is a buzz in the town. Smiles are contagious, no room for frowns! Farmers are positive, wives are relieved, Kids are excited, Santa’s nearly here, If you Believe? We know that there are no easy solutions or magic wands on this earth, But perhaps we can move forward and look forward to something of worth! This couple read about us in an early edition of Central Lifestyle Magazine and come out from Wellington once a month for lunch and to stock up on Michael’s Meat Pies and Pastries. 12.01.2022 A big Thank You to Ray-Lynn who has been looking after things whilst I’ve been recovering from surgery. Ray-Lynn has been working with us since she was 15 years old and still at school. Michael and I have watched Ray grow into a mature and responsible young woman, always stepping up when I need her to. Come in and say hi to Ray, and our new Trainee, Leah. A big thank you to all our wonderful staff - Kay, Wendy, Ray, Leah and Kate for helping us out at this time.
