25.01.2022 Yes the landscape is changing but we had to make car parks for Breakout BDH! And comply with CFS fire access regulations!

24.01.2022 Thanks Adelaide Solarsafe for our amazing new power supply a 29.8KW Solar System! Ash, Andy and the team were a pleasure to deal with.

16.01.2022 Blyth Hospital site development update - Public notice was listed in the Plains Producer on Wednesday 16th October regarding our plans to open 5 Escape rooms in the Hospital building in lieu of 4 rooms for accommodation. We are happy to answer any questions/queries you may have about this new business. Our goal is to bring complimentary services and employment into Blyth and we hope to build strong community relationships with other business owners and clubs/associations. You may not be aware, but you can also lodge responses in support of our application (if you so choose) with the council by 5pm Wednesday 30th October.

15.01.2022 A little BTS from Breakout BDH

10.01.2022 Hi everyone, We felt it was time for an update! As you may have noticed, we have slowly been making some changes down at the old hospital. New adventures - Currently we are working on building 5 escape/adventure rooms and we hope to have at least 3 open by mid-January. For those who don’t know what an escape room is - an escape room is a game in which a team of players cooperatively discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks in one or more rooms in order to progress... and accomplish a specific goal in a limited amount of time and hopefully escape from the room. The room themes are most likely going to be The Genie’s Lamp (ages 4 up), Pirates (ages 8 up), Prison break (ages 14 up), Prohibition bar (ages 14 up) and a Hospital styled one that we are having created to use the old surgery suit (ages 16 up). We decided on escape rooms because of feedback from our guests, market research and because we believe that the mid North needs more entertainment style businesses to attract visitors. The rooms will complement the great attractions the town already has, and if all goes to plan, we are hoping to offer some exciting employment opportunities. Updates - The Quarters is mostly booked out with seasonal and local workers for the next 2 months. Our focus is on accepting people working in the area requiring accommodation for 4 days or more. We will refer potential guests outside this parameter to the Blyth hotel when we can. We currently employ 2 locals working casual in and around the Quarters and a 3rd coming on board next week to start wrangling the gardens and other bits and pieces. We have also decided not to reopen Bites in its old form. It was a great adventure for us but Bites took a took a high personal and financial toll on both of us which we cannot afford to sustain. We would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support and we also think that the Blyth Café are doing a fantastic job! We do have some other interesting developments starting to take shape, these will make great use of the kitchen and a few other spaces but that’s for the next update.
