19.01.2022 Broadcast live from The Old Church On The Hill, The Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival presents Bendigo Underground featuring the mercurial, raw and honest blues of Castlemaine's, Luke Watt. Bringing blues, folk, originals and always a little somethin' different, tune in from 8pm, Friday 28 August 2020. These live broadcast shows are free to watch, with contributions welcome. All money raised goes back into the pockets of the artists and crew, helping to replace some of th...e live income they have lost. Make a contribution of your choosing by clicking the buy ticket button on this event or at the paypal button on the festival website. Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival is community minded and a 100% volunteer run organisation. More about our featured artist: Luke Watt is a folk/blues guitarist and songwriter described by ABC National as Raw and mercurial, the real deal, and by Lloyd Spiegel as A master of his craft." Despite the experiences of touring his last album Hill End Ruin throughout Europe and the U.S, Luke Watt’s new record is inspired by stories based much closer to home. Wild Graces is a collection of songs inspired by, written and recorded in his now home of Central Victoria. The record was then mixed by long-time collaborator Nick Huggins (Jen Cloher, Skipping Girl Vinegar, Whitley). Luke’s folk and blues guitar playing carries songs of failed gold diggers, small town tragedies and feuds between cranky old men. Wild Graces is an album from a touring artist who set up home and found stories worth telling. Follow Luke Watt here: https://www.facebook.com/lukewattmusic/

16.01.2022 DAY 3 BEGINS SUNDAY 8 NOVEMBER AT 10:55AM... Here we are on Day 3 and the last day of our music extravaganza featuring the talents of 65 artists from America, Canada, Japan, Germany and right around Australia. Starting Day 3 is local bluesman, Rhyley McGrath recorded live on The Blues Tram, a historical heritage delight staged at the Central Deborah Gold Mine - another unique Bendigo attraction that we hope will be opening its doors soon to visitors. ... After Rhyley, another huge day of music brilliance awaits you with the driving guitar blues of Tasmania’s finest, Pete Cornelius and band. The silky vocal and rock and roll infused Canadian star, Tennyson King and the sweet tones of Tongan sensation Joel Havea. The wonderfully warm and funny Tuck Shop Ladies, Sam Lohs and Rosie Burgess. The heavy Gypsy Rock of Japan in the guise of Fu-Ching-Gido, the endless soulful stream of Josh Owen and the genre blending genius that is Sherri Parry combine to make this an interstellar line up of world talent. ‘Across The Wires’ is streaming FREE online from Friday 6 November to Sunday 8 November 2020 across Bendigo Blues website, Facebook page and YouTube channel.
