25.01.2022 A BIG thank you to everyone who came along to the 'Benefit Art Auction and Soiree' at the Old Friary last night! It was a lovely night with wonderful music provided by Mythos Quintet, a delicious variety of yummy things to eat provided by wonderful and generous cooks, and lots of great atmosphere. The Auctioneer did his job wonderfully and we got almost all the beautiful artwork sold, making for a good donation to the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East for their work with IDPs in Northern Iraq. Thank you, thank you also to all the wonderful helpers without whom we would not have got off the ground.

Christmas Eve at the Old Friary will continue the tradition of ‘Port and Pud’ at 10pm in St Christopher’s Lodge which in its special way precedes Midnight Mass at 11pm in the Chapel If you have not had the pleasure of attending Christmas Eve at Brookfield I can thoroughly recommend it as a beautiful time to welcome in the sacred Celebrations of Christmas There will be no official services during January however the Chapel will be open daily for prayer and reflection. Perhaps you would like to continue to keep the rhythm of prayer at either 8am, 12 noon or 5.30pm. Please feel welcome to come at your leisure, take time out in the serenity of the Chapel or the grounds.

07.01.2022 I am sorry to say that due to the lack of numbers Karol Misso’s wonderful workshop set down for this Saturday has been cancelled. Officially only two persons had indicated that they would be attending. Karol is prepared to present his workshop later in the year when the Church calendar is not caught up with the many Lenten preparations.... Please watch this space for any future dates. Loving Kindness Jan B
