25.01.2022 Wednesday the Jindy Op Shop opens at 12:00pm and runs till a 7:00pm close. In addition to late night recycled goods shopping we provide a free light meal from 5:30 PM at Soul Food Community Kitchen. Tonight’s menu includes Singapore Noodles, Lentil Soup and Potato Bake. Our hope is to be an extended family United in the transformation of the community and planet.

15.01.2022 Can you help? The Op Shop and Food Pantry relies on community minded volunteers to serve on our open times. Over summer our workload increases and new volunteers are needed. Giving an hour or so is all we are asking to assist in our recycling and reuse initiatives. Just come along when we are open or Enquire to Gordon 0412433431.
14.01.2022 Rolling Xmas Fair this Saturday. Three community stalls will be at the Op Shop this Saturday from 10-1pm. Christmas Foodbank hampers will be freely available for distribution by any member of our community from Debbie’s Prayer Cloth stall each week.
11.01.2022 Rolling Christmas Fair 2020. Covid 19 is preventing us from holding our very popular annual Christmas Fair this year at the Alpine Church Jindy OpShop. We are responding by inviting previous Christmas stall holders to join us on Saturday’s Op Shop trading hours 10 am to 1 pm between now and Christmas. Two community stalls and church stalls will be on church grounds starting this Saturday and going through to the 19 th of December. 14 November- Potted plants.... 21 November - Christmas wreaths and more potted plants. 28 November-Toasty Toes and homemade jewellery. 5 December-homemade jewellery. 12 December-Instinks selling soaps etc and now teas and Lara Elliott selling candy floss, beef jerky etc! December 19- Lara Elliott. Christmas Foodbank hampers will be freely available for distribution by any member of our community from Debbie’s Prayer Cloth stall each week.

In addition to late night shopping we provide a free light meal from 5:30 PM at Soul Food Community Kitchen. Tonight’s menu is Mushroom Risotto and Coconut Pumpkin Soup with a roll. Our hope is to be an extended family for the community, these operating hours are an opportunity to pick the kids up from school,meet the locals,touch base with any one new to town and bag a bargain. New Volunteers... are always welcome,if you are short of employment this is a great place to publicise your presence to local employers. Saturday hours are 10:00am till 1:00pm. Op Shop opening hours: Wednesday’s 12-7PM, Saturday are 10:00am till 1:00pm. Monday’s 12PM to 4PM. Our hope is to be an extended family for the community, these operating hours on Wednesday are an opportunity to pick the kids up from school,meet the locals,touch base with any one new to town and bag a bargain. Takeaway your free dinner meal and be blessed! Sunday morning there is a free breakfast church with access to the Food Pantry running from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.
07.01.2022 Free Christmas Hampers/ Christmas Fair Why does the op shop provide a free meal? Because it is over food that hearts are opened , fears are revealed and love is expressed. It is with this vision that the Uniting Alpine parish has been serving meals for the last seven years. The money raised by the selling of the large variety of goods donated generously by our community is directed to our subsidised Food Pantry.... The Op Shop purchases from Foodbank,Sydney for our stock. Last year we began to distribute Christmas food hampers to families, widows and the lonely. This year we have doubled the number of free Foodbank Christmas hampers to 150! We have also a number of vegetarian Christmas hampers! Christmas Foodbank hampers will be freely available for distribution by any member of our community from Debbie’s Prayer Cloth stall Saturday’s at the Op Shop between 10-1pm and Sunday Breakfast Church 7:30-9am.
