23.01.2022 Getting ready for market. Mornings are crisp but the sunsets and rainbows at this time of year are spectacular.

21.01.2022 Releasing our deep-water intertidal lines to remain above the water surface from time to time, has been a game changer. In minutes we can either release the lines or return them to their locked position in the intertidal zone. This allows us to change the basket - packs without having to chase the tide.

21.01.2022 This video shows how we handle single baskets to and from our deep water intertidal lines.

20.01.2022 Wintertime in Tasmania is beautiful. In between the bouts of rough weather we have the pristine clear still days. No better time to enjoy oysters, check out the Tasmanian Oyster Trail @tarkinefreshoysters in Smithton, @freycinetmarinefarm in Coles Bay, @melshell_oysters at Dolphin Sands @barillabayoysters at Barilla Bay and @bluelagoonoysrers Dunalley and @Get Shucked Oyster Farm at Bruny Island

17.01.2022 Our angasi are coming your way. We have been eating them for a few weeks and they are as sweet as ever.

14.01.2022 Angasi natives are also heading your way. We have been eating them for the last few weeks and they are as sweet as ever.

13.01.2022 We are trialling 34L Seapa baskets in our pack format, both angasi and Pacific oysters are growing well in them.

12.01.2022 The native angasi has a beautiful fan shaped shell, the oysters flavour of the sea is equally unique and they may be eaten freshly shucked or lightly cooked. They are a deep water species and here at The Oyster Province in 10m deep water they are thriving in the deep with regular short periods of time in our deep-water intertidal set-up.

10.01.2022 These delicious Tasmanian native oysters will be in seafood stores in the next few weeks. Ask for them by name.

10.01.2022 Looking forward to harvest season.

10.01.2022 We are delighted our angasi have been awarded State Winner again this year in the Delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards. With thanks to the judges for valuing this rare native oyster.
