25.01.2022 Good Afternoon Everyone, With all the fires burning round Australia right now, we are going to be doing a few things through our shop. First thing we would like to do is have some boxes at the front door (just inside ) We are asking if everyone who comes in to please donate any canned goods or toiletries, clothes, towels, sheets etc. We all ensure it all gets to where it is needed. We are going to be starting to have one Sunday a month where we are open from 9-9 and we will ...be solidly making quilts for as many as we can and we would love to have people volunteer their time to come in and help to make quilts. As soon as we have organised how this will be happening we will be putting it on here and would love to have lots of people join us to help making quilts and also pouches for all the misplaced and injured animals. So far 150 homes have been lost, 3 people have been confirmed to have died, 360 koalas and many other animals are said to have perished. It is our worst fire month in history and the worst is yet to come. We are set to have "Catastrophic" fire danger tomorrow ( Tuesday 12th November) Please take care and remember your property, your belongings are not as important as your life and that of your loved ones. If you are told to leave please do so and take extreme care..
25.01.2022 Good Morning everyone, First i hope everyone is doing ok with all this smoke, our poor fire fighters are out there struggling day after day, to keep us all safe. The smoke and fires are going to be ongoing every day occurrences for us this summer, take precautions and be safe and remember to thank a fire man or woman if you meet one and if your able to help out the your local fire station with snacks and water etc that would be amazing.. We have raised $200 with our raffle a...nd we are excited about that, if you would still like to support our local fire fighters and perhaps get a wonderful gingerbread house for christmas :) please come down and grab a ticket, every cent we raise goes to our local fire service. Its but a small token to help for all they have done and continue to do for us. Dont forget we also have our Christmas fabric on special for 30% off, half a metre and over. :) We want to extend our thank you to all our supporters and all our wonderful regulars who have come into our shop throughout the year. Without you we would not survive, We would like to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.
24.01.2022 Good Afternoon everyone, Well Christmas is around the corner and the fires are still burning ( some out of control ) People have been losing their homes and our farmers are still struggling and desperately in need of water and feed for their livestock. It seems like things are never going to be ok again. But Im here to say keep looking forward, keep one foot going in front of the other, there is always someone who is worse off than we are and its in these trying times we rea...lise how important it is to be kind, decent and giving people. I am proud to say we have received donations of fabrics and peoples time and we are honoured to think people are so willing to give of themselves <3... To everyone who is struggling today, to everyone who feels like they just cannot continue, to everyone who is having a bad day...remember you are loved, you are cared about, you are needed and wanted. Mental health in this country ( or any country for that matter ) is sadly being discounted and swept under the carpet, and we are expected to just " suck it up" sometimes its not easy to just continue on as normal, and that is ok, Take care of yourself, have a "me" day. Do something you enjoy doing, Watch a funny show, invite a friend around to sit and have a glass of wine or a cup of tea. Surround yourselves with things that make you happy and make you realise your amazing, and valid and wonderful.
24.01.2022 Good Morning Everyone, WJust wanted to jump on really quickly and just ask everyone to spare a thought today to all the Fire fighters who are today fighting some horrendous conditions to keep homes and lives safe. They are really struggling to maintain a safe distance for all the peoples homes and livestock etc. To all the people who have lost homes and are still under threat today please remember to take care and take action as soon as you are given specific warnings to evacuate, it is not worth your life or those of your loved ones. Stay Safe.
23.01.2022 Good Morning all, Spring has sprung, the hot weather will certainly soon be rearing its head. We just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful day and welcome to spring :)

21.01.2022 Hello everyone, We have been very busy getting ready for the Craft Alive Show coming up in July, It will be at the Hawkesbury Showground on the 19th, 20th and 21st July, come and show your support to all the local shops and crafts. We have been making jelly rolls and fat quarter bundles to sell at the show, we have some in the shop if you are interested in coming in and purchasing some. The colours are amazing and would make some incredible quilts :) i am going to be posting pictures of our bundles and jelly rolls so you can see how colourful they look :) Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and a Happy Mothers Day on Sunday.
19.01.2022 Good Afternoon everyone, With all the fires that are burning out of control and all the bad news we have been having recently, we thought we would try to brighten your day a little. Until Wednesday of next week (20th November) we have decided to have a "spot" sale..any fabric half a metre and over will be 20% off, this includes our jelly roll bundles and our fat quarter bundles. please feel free to come in and visit and have a cup of tea and a chat and grab some fabric. We ...understand a lot of people have been badly affected by the horrific fires that have devastated Queensland and NSW. We as a community are looking forward to being able to give back to these people and to the fire service. We will be starting our first Sunday making quilts on Sunday 24th November, If you are interested in coming in and helping to make quilts for as many victim of the fires as we possibly can, please let me know so i can get peoples names down and we can get started. Our doors will be opened from 9 am to 9pm on Sunday 24th, you can feel free to stay all day or just some of the day. We are asking if you could bring in scraps of fabric and if you have any batting scraps 12 inch squares or bigger as we will be doing quilt as you go. We are also asking everyone to donate $5 as we will be using that money to buy a roll of batting for all of the quilts we will be making. Coffee and tea will be be provided, we have toilet facilities and a kitchen with a fridge and microwave, so feel free to bring your food. Alternatively if you are unable to sew, but you would still like to be a part of this process, there will be lots of cutting of fabric and ironing and if all else fails tea and coffee and sandwiches would be awesome as well :) We are looking to get as many people as possible involved, so many people have lost everything and with Christmas only 6 weeks away it would be amazing to be able to provide santa sacks with a small gift inside for the children and a quilt for anyone who would like one. We would like to thank you for wanting to be a part of something greater than ourselves, it could be any one of us who has had the misfortune to be without a home and without our belongings. If you would like to donate any non perishable food items and or bathroom items that would be wonderful as well. Toys for children, any towels or sheets that are in good order as well. I personally intend on cleaning out my cupboards and donating as much as possible, i figure if i havent used it for a long time i dont need it and someone else could do with it until they are on their feet and can replace it themselves. :) Lets show others what the true meaning of "mateship" is. Australia was built on helping each other out so lets all get together and do our bit to help those that need us right now :) Thank you.

16.01.2022 Good Morning everyone, It Has been a tense time for a lot of people worrying about the fires and as we all know summer has not started yet and there will be more fires and more devastation. We will be starting our first Sunday on the 24th November to be able to make quilts and Santa sacks etc for the victims of the fires so far. We are asking if you are interested to please either call us directly ( 0245772490) or let us know on here, so we can get numbers going. If you are... able to bring in scraps of fabric, we will be making quilt as you go quilts as they are fast and effective. If you have any spare batting that would be wonderful (Cotton is best) 12 inch pieces are needed for the quilt as you go. Please feel free to bring your lunch as we have a kitchen with a microwave and a fridge, Tea and coffee is provided, we also have bathroom facilities. We need to know numbers as we have seating for around 18 people, but we have ironing boards and cutting tables and room to have more people but we would like to be able to have around 20 people come in at any given time if that would be possible. That way we can then perhaps make it another day per month so we can do a roster program. Our doors will open 9.30am and close at 4.30pm you are more than welcome to stay for the entire day or stay for as many hours as you are able to give. We are unsure how long we will be continuing this, but if these fires are anything to go by, this may become a regular occurrence. We would like to encourage as many of the community as we can to become involved and we hope to be able to make it more than just Sunday monthly, this will more than likely happen after Christmas. There are a lot of people who have been misplaced and lost everything, so far we are the lucky ones who still manage to be able to go home every day and its always nice to be able to give something to those that have lost everything. If you feel you would like to become involved, we would love to have your help.. If you can't quilt, that's ok, you may be able to cut fabric, if you feel you can't do that, that's ok as well, as there will be lots of ironing involved, if you feel you can't iron, there is still more to be done..ie making Santa sacks or making tea or helping out with binding etc. Together as a community we can help make someones life a little less glum and show them that even though we can't be with them in person we are with them in spirit.
15.01.2022 Morning all, hope your day is going well so far and will continue to do so. Our farmers have received a small amount of rain over the last week and while it seems like its been an answer to all their prayers, its really just a small dribble in an endless drought that seems to have no end. So please remember to sparingly use your water and if possible to donate whatever you can to help our wonderful farmers who are the backbone of our country. <3 We are almost at the end of t...he year (phew where did the time go) Hard to believe its another year gone, Im unsure if its just me, but i swear the years are going by quicker and quicker :) We are looking into getting new classes going for 2020, we will definitely let everyone know when we are set to start the classes and what they will be. Keep an eye out on our page to hear more news. We have our last marathon coming up in November and if anyone is interested in joining us for next years marathons ( these are the third Saturday of the month that start at 2 and end at midnight, sit and sews so to speak where everyone can jump in and help and its a wonderful way to meet new people and make lasting friendships and some amazing quilts or crafts ) Please send me a message and i will be able to explain it in more detail. So to sign off have a wonderful day, lets hope its full of lots of laughter and joy and if all else fails at least a lot of sewing and productivity. :)

But you all still managed to find joy in what you loved to do. ... Heres sending out A Merry Christmas to you and all your families, may your Christmas be filled with lots of laughter, joy, true happiness, families and friends. Christmas can be a hard time for some people so if you know someone who isnt having a very good time maybe find a way to help make them happy? I think thats what this year should have taught us all that as a collective we are so much stronger, and as a community we ROCK...Thank you to all who donated to the raffle it was won by Lynette Howard :) she has since picked it up. Thank you to all who donated fabric and time to help make quilts etc for the fire victims, we will ensure they get to where they need to go. 13.01.2022 Good Afternoon everyone, Im looking to sell my sewing machine and thought i would just put it out on here first before i advertise it anywhere else. It was used for around 3 months and not very often as it was obviously little too advanced for me, also a bit too heavy to lug around. Its one to be put on a table and left there I'm afraid :) Its a Bernina 880 with the embroidery pieces that have not even come out of the box they arrived in. Im also selling a horn table with th...e machine and as the machine still costs around $13,880 to buy new i was looking to get at least $7,000 or best offer for the machine and the table together. I am posting pictures and will leave it on here for a week and if no one wants to purchase it i will put it on other sites. :) Sadly it sits there and isn't being used and i would prefer to see it go to someone who can enjoy it and make good use of it. Please Contact me and let me know if you are interested and i can tell you more.

We have decided we will be having a massive sale on our Christmas fabrics they are going to be 35% off anything half a metre and over. Please come on down and grab yourself all your Christmas fabrics :) I am going to be posting pictures of the Gingerbread House ( shop) we have at the moment but please remember a brand new one will be made for the winner of the raffle :) Sorry for the terrible pictures but its wrapped in cellophane.
