04.01.2022 One on one training session this morning with Hiro the Maltese Shitzu. The tie up exercise can be used to help a dog get used to being alone and to stop a dog from having access to you all the time when you are at home. Make the exercise easy to begin with, start with the dog on a short lead and attach the lead to a chair / table leg that you are sitting at. Next steps could include moving a couple of steps away, leaving the room for a few seconds, increasing the time the dog is left for, moving into different rooms in the house.
