04.01.2022 Lots of projects today at The Pickled Patch!! Stunning Calendula being put in the dehydrator to be dried. Pressure Canner processing BBQ Sauce and New beds going in with the beautiful organic compost from Trellis Landscapes in Gloucester !! Oh and some beautiful greens and carrots picked from the garden!! #myhappyplace

04.01.2022 I think I may have nailed a few permaculture principles today!! 18 baby blueberries planted in a garden in between acid loving Gymea lillies, Azaleas with some pretty bulbs poking through!! Hopefully they will make a pretty edible hedge in the next couple of years. #ThePickledPatch

03.01.2022 Not a great day outside so I’m in the kitchen!! I’m making Garlic Broth, using the last of last years garlic. I will preserve this by pressure canning and it will be awesome in stocks and soups!! And the other jar is Mexican Tepache which is a delicious probiotic drink that uses pineapple scraps , spices etc it is delicious!! For the recipe have a look at Simply Homesteading on Facebook.
