17.01.2022 Welcome to Mental Health Monday's where every Monday I will unpack a relevant topic. Last week has left most of us feeling unsettled. Not sure whether lockdowns will become the norms or how long we'll need to wear masks. So I thought a checklist including a few things to make space for this week would be helpful. Purpose. Re gain your purpose, what are you passionate about? If we allow too many 'what ifs' to creep into our lives we never... move forward. Connect with others. Make a list of friends you haven't spoken to for a while and call them or make a time to catch up. Something to look forward to. This week book 2 holidays for the year. They don't have to be expensive, this will give you something to look forward to. Recognise anxious thoughts. Anxiety can present itself in many different ways - maybe you zone out of conversation's more or are choosing to keep to yourself. (Stay tuned for more about this tomorrow!) Which small changes will you be making space for this week? See more

08.01.2022 How are few going into this week?

05.01.2022 Mental Health Monday! We've heard a lot of unexpected things so far this week! A lot that has been laid upon us to deal with. There are going to be times where you are lacking motivation and positivity. Here are a few tips to keep your motivation and positivity levels up: 1. Find a routine that works.... If you want to keep motivated and positive for the day, it starts with a good routine that works for YOU! This is going to structure your day and create purpose. 2. Move your body. Getting outdoors for the hour a day or even getting some sunshine on your skin is going to do wonders for your mood. Try and schedule this in the morning so that you can set your day up for success. 3. Allow yourself to feel what you feel. We are all taking this change in differently. Emotions are natural and pushing them aside isn’t useful. Allow yourself to feel the emotions you need to feel. 4. Perspective The effects of this global pandemic has taught us so much. One of the things it has taught me is to evaluate what is important in life. Those things that don't add value to your life, get rid of them! Less is always more. Focus on things that bring you joy, and if it doesn’t bring joy then it’s time for it to no longer be part of your life.. 5. Put your device down. There is so much information to consume online and it's draining. Put your phone down, put your computer away and read a book, listen to music or get outside. 6. Involve yourself in an activity you didn’t have time for. Use this week if you can to ignite an old passion. Dust off the colouring book or paint brushes and do something for YOU! I hope these tips helped! Tag a friend or family member that needs these encouraging words today. image via: @abbysheah See more
