24.01.2022 Gday Warrior Families I’d like to invite all to sit in with me on this great event this Saturday night. This will be a very inspiring night and I just can’t wait to see this all come together. Hope you can tune in as some of our Warriors are part of this

24.01.2022 FAMILY DAY What a fantastic day it was for all who came along for our family day at Dundaloo Active. It was so good to catch up after such a hectic year for all of us. The whole idea of this was just to re connect and catch up. The kids had a great time and for the parents, grandparents and carers it was good to be able to share stories. We know now how beneficial it was and how important it is to stay connected. We will be doing regular things from now on. Thanks to Dundaloo Active for opening doors for us and giving us the space with such wonderful support. As always since the start also for feeding and watering us all.

23.01.2022 COME AND RIDE THIS SUNDAY @ 9:30 am LETS DO IT AGAIN. Dress your bike up in Christmas Cheer. To remind us of the fun we had last time we did this, all are welcome, bring your bike or scooter and a helmet. Free sausage sizzle for all riders.

16.01.2022 I just sat with Lesley Zarb and watched this fantastic documentary about an Aussie kid, now man, Feliks Zemdegs - Speedcuber who won the world championship in Rubiks Cube. It was absolutely incredible to see such skill and absolute intelligence. It’s about his relationship with and equally brilliant autistic cuber from California, Max Park. I don’t watch much TV as Les will tell you but this was so inspiring and I just wanted to share this to our crew here. Over my years tea...ching music with the ACMF (Australian Children’s Music Foundation) I’ve had the most incredible experiences and the most fun teaching the support units and working with lots of autistic kids. I always tell them they have super powers. One 13 year old autistic boy (student) said to me just last week. Matty I think us autistic kids are part of evolution and we are smarter and more focused, we just think differently I was just amazed but not amazed at the same time as he is an extremely intelligent boy. Anyway I hope some of you can make time to watch this beautiful bit of film. See more

07.01.2022 NOAH HAZLEWOOD’S FANTASTIC STORY OF DETERMINATION To all our Warriors and families it’s been a very hard year for many with Covid changing so much of our lives. Our season was all ready to go, we had some awesome things planned and then a big stop came that threw us all into what we are still all going through. In the middle of all this mayhem we all managed to get out for a ride and raise money for Autism Awareness which was such a great day for all of us and a reminder ...of how much we all love to get together. Also we raised a huge $3821.00 together to raise public awareness of Autism. This is Noah’s personal story teaching us all to NEVER GIVE UP! Noah’s goal was to ride 30 laps of the Criterion Track which is 42 kilometers. On his 19th lap he fell off and hurt his knee. He got it bandages and jumped back on his bike to complete the remaining 15.4 kilometers and reach his goal. After nearly everyone had gone home Noah was still out pedaling with support from his sister Darcy, a couple mates, mum and dad and us on the sideline. What a great thing it was to see him achieve this ! So take some time with this and put some purpose into whatever you’re doing today with a bit of Noah’s NEVER GIVE UP determination !! Well done Noah and to all our players and families. We sure miss seeing you all.Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) AutismAwareness.com NBN Television Taree, New South Wales Barrington Coast Manning Valley Cycle Club MidCoast Council See more

03.01.2022 RAINBOW WARRIORS FAMILY DAY Dear Warriors and families. It’s been a very long year for all of us with new challenges each day. We know many of our kids and families have missed the social connections and the weekly fun of our games. Our Ride for Autism was a huge success and so much fun. ... We got to work brainstorming for the next ride and then we came into some issues with Covid restrictions and risk assessments. We racked our brains at our planning meetings trying to come up with something we could do to get us all together in a safe organised way that would be good for all and tick all the Covid Boxes. Dundaloo Support Services have been there with us from the very beginning, supplying and cooking our sausages every Sunday. They have offered to put on a special day for us all to get together and re connect. Dundaloo Active will supply trained support workers to facilitate our games and fun in a safe, socially distanced way. There will be opportunities for parents and carers to catch up and just chat. We also will have our coaching crew on the job too. There will be activities for all ages. WHAT YOU’LL NEED!! In line with our Covid Safe Plan please do not attend if you or any of your family have any cold or flu symptoms or are unwell in any way. You will need to sign the Covid register and have your temperature taken. You must RSVP by calling Dundaloo Active on 55109685 to secure your spot. Hat, sunscreen, swimmers, towel, thongs or shoes (bindies ) A smile LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE AGAIN

02.01.2022 Ho Ho Ho and off we go!!! DRESS YOUR BIKE UP FOR OUR CHRISTMAS RIDE Our last ride was so much fun we are doing it again! We realised after our last ride and that we are more than just a soccer club, we are a big growing family and will be doing regular family days to stay connected until our season starts in 2021. No matter what, we will be playing soccer next year but until then we will be having family days. Everyone is welcome.. ... If you don’t have a bike let us know and we will help. If you know of anyone who you think might like to come along share this to them and let them know they are welcome. See more
