24.01.2022 TIP OF THE WEEK We are told this all the time MAKE SURE YOUR MACHINE NEEDLE IS SHARP! This is not just so we can sell more needles. It is really important for stitch and tension quality, accuracy of stitch placement even skipping stitches can be fixed by changing to a sharp needle. It will also prevent snagging your fabric potentially destroying a beautiful garment.

17.01.2022 Welcome to the stash for another week. One of our most creative stashers Mary-ann has been at it again and made these fab hats for her son to use at work. Can you tell what he dose ? Classes are ready to start again for the new year and for the next 3 weeks we will welcome all of our little stashers to join in and take some creative lessons. We offer beginner sewing lessons right through to advanced for both adults and children and fabric painting lessons as well. All lessons are private (no group lessons ) and are $25 for an hour and half. We provide machines if you dont have one or you can bring your own So if you want to learn somthimg creative give us a call.

16.01.2022 I've had the Belle fabric for over a year waiting for the right pattern and the right fabric to match it. As usual, the stash came thru with the yellow and gold glitter spots. Perfect for my little princess who just saw the pics and ...'Oh Nanny! I LOVE it!

14.01.2022 We at the stash would like to introduce our newest family member. Her name is the duchess. Named so because she is part of the duke of Wellington series. She was made around 1904 and is hand turned to operate. She will make a beautiful display. So come in and pay her a visit !

13.01.2022 In spite of todays heat, here at stash home base we have still managed to be creative. My son wanted tie dye sox. Just like his big brothers very expensive pair. So we have spent the morning doing just that and here is the end result. Just another of the many ways we get creative here at the stash.

03.01.2022 PROJECT OF THE MONTH HI Stashers. Sorry we have been away for so long. Life called me away for a little while there but we are back and open again. One of our very talented sewers brought in some of her treasures yesterday. She has been saving her fabric scraps and crazy quilting them together to make these beautiful shopping bags. Here is a small sample of what she has done.

02.01.2022 Morning stashers We are out and about again at Mt Gravatt markets. Www have plenty of new fabrics in store so come out and see us. We had a huge weekend at jimbomba markets last weekend so a huge shout out to everyone there who were so helpful last week.
