07.01.2022 There is an immediate issue with our food producers not being able to access the usual pool of backpackers, pacific island & NZ workers, due to current travel restrictions. I am working with industry to develop some practical solutions as an urgent response to ensure WAs ongoing food security. Working with Studium Global - a WA based student employment platform - we are looking to attract WA University and TAFE student workers with the required skills and are are asking W...A based students (over 18 years) with experience; or a family background in farming, livestock handling, large machinery operations, truck driving etc. to register at https://www.studium.work/ We will also need low and semi-skilled workers for horticultural work such as fruit picking in the near future and encourage all students interested in work in the agricultural sector to register.
