Wauchope has a strong and connected community, friendly locals are happy to help you find your way around and it's a great base for exploring nearby World Heritage rainforest. The town is set on the Hastings River, surrounded by farms and agriculture, just a few minutes from the Pacific Highway turn-off and located half way between Sydney and Brisbane. It is the gateway to the hinterland with over 40,000 hectares of National Parks and State Forests, one of NSW’s best kept secrets. In recent times Wauchope has launched the initiative to become "A Motorcycle Friendly Town" embracing the many riders that make the trek between Wauchope and Walcha, a well known must do motorcycle ride. Wauchope is home to many manufacturing businesses spread across a diverse range of products with many locals well entrenched in exporting their products.
