21.01.2022 This week's Teacher Tip comes from Miss Jackie & relates to effective studying! She says: "When studying, encourage the learner to combine as many senses in the learning process as this increases retention. E.g. reading the text out loud, instead of in your mind, is more effective as it combines sight and hearing".

19.01.2022 We have two team members sharing their favourite movie today. Libby (one of our teachers) - "I love Elf. Every year we watch it together and always find it funny - especially when Buddy tries to step onto the escalator. It’s a welcome relief to be able to relax and laugh together during the very busy silly season." Gisella (one of our SAM's) - "Elf has become an all time favourite in our house. The Christmas season doesn't begin until we have watched Elf as a family. Will Ferrell is hilarious as Elf. It's a wonderful and funny story full of Christmas spirit"

13.01.2022 Today we say goodbye to The Secret Garden as we read the last part of chapter 27 and the last part of this beautiful book. We hope you have enjoyed it. Stay tuned for next week when we begin reading our wonderful Christmas stories!

01.01.2022 Today we have two team members who share the same love for this Christmas movie Natalia (one of our teacher's).... "Love Actually is my favourite Christmas movie ever and I could watch it over and over again. I love how all the different stories come together and I love the music. Especially Mariah's 'All I want for Christmas is you' which also happens to be my favourite Christmas song" ... Jacquie (one of our SLSO's) favourite movie is Love Actually... "I watch it every year and never get sick of the way the plot lines tangle together. Who could not love the iconic 'To me, you're perfect' scene!!?"
