24.01.2022 NEGATIVITY DEFLECTION Ever heard the term "Trolls" in relation to social media? "Make a deliberately offensive or provocative online post with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them."... For some, dealing with people like this is laughable and it is easy to ignore or overlook the provocative comments, reactions and mind games they attempt. However for some, this is not so simple, and they can be effected emotionally which can lead to second guessing their decisions and changing something that is perfectly fine. Unfortunately it is a trait of many humans to try to bring people down in an attempt way to make themselves feel better. This can be brought on for many reasons such as personal insecurities, jealousy or just a negative and destructive mood. A fantastic example of this is my pervious post where i stated my webpage and subscription based business would be live in the coming weeks and to celebrate i was going to give away my BMW 135i to a subscriber at random. This post was positive and non provocative, yet it still created a range of reactions. Out of the reactions there were two people who chose to laugh at it, one who was angered by it, and one who took the time to comment with a vomit emoji. When you start a Business venture, you will see the same. No matter what the topic, there will never be 100% acceptance. Take the positive comments and use them as motivation. Take note of the others and try and see it from their perspective, but never dwell on it. Within time, the "Trolls" will have no effect on your thought process. T.U.E TIP: Reply to negative comments calmly and kindly. If they have a genuine issue it can be sorted. If they don't, they will generally not reply or delete their original comment.

23.01.2022 The Uneducated Entrepreneur has joined forces with the amazing charity "Variety". Variety is a small charity based around helping children. From this point forwards, a percentage of all proceeds made by The Uneducated Entrepreneur will go towards helping those youth in need.

23.01.2022 NOT EVERYTHING IS SQUARE The more i am on facebook and google, the more i see ads for the miracle business plan that will take you from rags to riches in next to no time. Whether it be audiobooks, journals, PDFs, videos, they swear that its all you need for success.... Correct me if i am wrong, but it is my strong opinion that every business is unique, and to think that using a progression plan or business strategy that has been written to blanket the entire business world by... someone who has no idea about your business is naive and a cause for failure. Granted, there will be certain strategies and plans on the market that will work for you, but knowing which one and locating it in the world wide web is next to impossible. Instead, talk and network. Talk to people already in the industry, talk to those already in business, and create a unique strategy for your unique business. A generic text or video may not answer the important questions you have in you mind. T.U.E Tip: Set yourself apart from the rest. In the cutthroat world of business, being unique and different from the rest will make you stand out. Once you stand out and deliver a good service, you are well on your way to success.

22.01.2022 PROCRASTINATION - FRIEND OR FOE? Procrastination is easily described as delaying or postponing something. It only takes a quick Google search on the term "Procrastination" to find a barrage of information about what causes procrastination, how bad procrastination is, and how it can be fixed using a number of amazing strategies, plans and processes (For a small fee of course). Procrastination is also suggested to be a mental illness in some articles!!... BUT WAIT! If you have self diagnosed yourself as a procrastinator, don't race out and see a psychologist or purchase some eBooks on how to fix the problem.... Actually let's face it, if you are a procrastinator you will probably just avoid reading it anyway. Whilst procrastinating can be very detrimental to our time management, it isn't the end of the world. When you find yourself avoiding or postponing tasks, it's important to work out why. Is it due to a lack of motivation? Are you over tired or over stressed? Maybe your goals just aren't clear. Whatever the reason may be, if you find you are procrastinating, use that time to think about why. If you can realign your goals, recharge your batteries, and refocus on the big picture, you will find you will again become more efficient. I am happy to admit that i am a Procrastinator. Some days i will achieve everything and anything i set out to do. Some days i just can not focus and need to reset and recharge. Despite these days not being productive in achieving daily tasks, they are fantastic for freeing your mind and brainstorming new ideas. Use your procrastinating time positively and it is no longer a negative.

04.01.2022 FORWARD PLANNING The importance of forward planning is often overlooked. having a clear understanding of your day, your commitments and tasks can create a smooth productive flow, as well as avoid the procrastination that can come from having too many tasks and no process to get through them. Attached is a screenshot of the simple doc i have created that i use to plan and run my daily schedule.... Each person will have their own way they will schedule their day, however i have found that filling this document out the night before has been very successful, as at night, the phone calls have stopped, my mind is clearer, and i am clear on the important tasks i need to set for the following day. T.U.E TIP: Always take time to network. Be is a potential client, a supplier or an old friend. Staying active in communication will always prove fruitful in any business. 03.01.2022 THINK BIG - AND PROTECT YOUR INCOME Change is inevitable. It has been happening throughout the history of the world, the history of human, and the history of you. So what have you put in place to protect your Business from change? I quite often hear comments such as "I am a builder, people will always need houses" or "I am a hair dresser, hair isn't going to stop growing".... Whilst these comments are broadly true, they are a naive and dangerous way to approach Business. There are many many factors that can change instantly that have the potential to harm or destroy a Business. What happens if someone is severely injured or killed in your business? What happens if the legislation that effects your business changes? What happens if a big multinational company offering your services comes to town? Despite the fact that some industries will always continue due to human demand, these industries often go through cycles. I witnessed first hand the Australian mining boom, and i am currently witnessing the housing boom here in Tasmania. Despite the general concusses that this housing boom will continue for quite a few years, at some point there are going to be a lot of Builders who have increased their fleet, increased their staffing and increased their overheads, frantically trying to decrease in size as the market changes. I will always suggest to Entrepreneurs to not stop at one. Having one business can work, and does for many, but having multiple Businesses/Incomes can be highly effective, as one can remain Idle in a downturn or industry slump whilst the others succeed. T.U.E TIP: Training you employees so they are employable by each, or a number of your businesses ads security to their income as well as helps you hold onto their service. Good Employees are your greatest asset.

02.01.2022 Always remember to take time to de-stress. Business ownership can put stress on the strongest of people. If you feel it becoming over bearing. Take a step back and refocus.
