24.01.2022 Leash reactive is a combination of factors. How to diagnose and assess these factors depends on the experience and the proven results of the trainer. The first step to success begins with the right trainer. Want a better quality of life for you and your dog? Contact Kel - The Walking Dog Trainer

24.01.2022 We all know of those behind the fence dogs who bark and harass your dog as you walk by. How your dog responds to their behaviour can turn your enjoyable walk into a nightmare walk. Ideally you want your dog to ignore and continue on to enjoy your walk together.... If not your walk becomes a nightmare. You know how your dog will react so you cross the road, take a different route, hope them dogs are not out today. This avoidance does not help you or your dog to address this behaviour. Its makes it worse and is just a matter of time when the nightmare returns. You cannot control those dogs behind the fence. But I can train your dog to ignore and walk on. Here's a dog who would be triggered to the reactions of these behind the fence dogs. He'd react just like those behind the fence dogs and totally lose focus on the owner. That was before and this is now. I train dogs about making decisions. What I can do is train your dog to make a better decision , this decision is supported by the owner, focus is gained, confidence grows, the walk gets back on track and becomes more enjoyable. woohoo! If you need any help with your dogs behaviour, whatever this is, contact me: Kel - The Walking Dog Trainer

17.01.2022 Safe socialising activities. Here's one activity we do to retain focus and engagement, as well as practising loose lead handling during the social training pack walk. Distractions out front, back and sides with dogs rotating to the middle.... Not all dogs will get along with each other, so we teach them to relax and pay attention to their handler/owner. Every week we are amazed how much progress each other makes from one week to the next. Keep up the great work Thanks to everyone for being there to support each other and creating a better quality of life for all. . Special praise to Dave with Hudson who is progressing forward in leaps and bounds.

11.01.2022 Benji is in board and train with me. He's pulls on the lead, runs off and does not come back. He is lucky to be here after being hit by a car. When the training is completed, he'll be a different dog. He'll walk nicely on and off-lead and his recall will be 110% - all under high distractions. He'll grow in confidence and understand more about the real world. He's going to love the training and the benefits it offers. ... He has a new best mate - my Benny boy. Benny helps me with the training and teaches Benji about social skills and safe play/fun. I'll post his progress as I go.

09.01.2022 This beautiful Amercian staffy X girl had no focus on her owner, pulled strongly on the lead, lacked social skills and reacts badly towards dogs. I am the lifeline for your dog. I'm here to get you a change of behaviour. I'm here to get you to where you want your dog to be. ...
