18.01.2022 This story has made me totally angry and disgusted. Everyone deserves respect but apparently this veteran didn't deserve that from this government and 12 milita...ry charities. This is disgusting the government and 12 military charities declined to help. Thank you to the Bravery Trust for stepping in and helping http://www.perthnow.com.au//3dd346b72e835c057dc5421ebe2759

05.01.2022 Update on Pte Jesse Birds memorial service

03.01.2022 Today in Federal Parliament the Minister for Veterans' Affairs Dan Tehan apologised for failing army veteran Jesse Bird. Jesse died by suicide in June after los...ing a long-running battle with the Department of Veterans' Affairs for compensation for his war related injuries. The Bird family told 7.30 after his death urgent change was needed to protect other veterans. An official inquiry into Jesse's death agreed and today Mr Tehan committed to making those changes. 02.01.2022 Today I am here at ANZAC Park in Southport to show my respect to a soldier who was taken from his grief stricken family and the larger veteran community way ear...ly. I did not know him but after speaking to his family since the tragic incident I wish I had have know him and his family. Since Pte Jesse's Birds passing we have lost a further 3 brothers this has to stop which bring the toll this year to 42, 42 more than it needs to be. My heart goes out to all veterans and serving soldiers and their families who are driven to doing this terrible act, thinking that this is the only way out and the only way to stop their personal anguish. There is always hope and assistance if asked from family and friends. There is no shame in putting your hand and say you need help. I implore all members to remember the sacrifice that the Defence Force Members and their families give to ensure we are safe both here and abroad. Ask their Local,State and Federal members what they are doing to assist the veterans and if they can do anything else. And what if it was there Son or Daughter Husband or Wife, Brother, Sister, Father or Mother would they want better for them and then hold them to it. Please Share this to everyone on your Friends list
