25.01.2022 The Wayward Earls played 'Walking Stick' at at house concert at Texture Denmark on Monday evening 9th of May 2019. (Please excuse the lighting.)

24.01.2022 The Wayward Earls perform at Denmark Riverside Club this Friday night! Wayward, a bit squeaky-wheeled, dusty and crusty with the passage of time and fortune, the "earls" revel in sparkling ragtime, jug band blues, vintage jazz and many a monochrome musical gem of yesteryear. Dubiously delivered with uncontrolled backfiring and clouds of blue smoke, these venerable musicians still emit an authentic and gramophonic sound that gets you toe-tapping and smiling along to joyful mel...odies wrapped in a dusty vest and a gold-tooth grin. Described by Vague Magazine as "pulsating, rhythmic and enduring", their music is quite good as well. The Wayward Earls are Rod Vervest (guitar), Peter Grayling (cello), Bob Lipinski (vocals/harmonica), and David Rastrick (cornet, valve-trombone and banjitar / vocals). You can hear The Wayward Earls from 7:30 p.m. at Denmark Riverside Club - Denmark-Kwoorabup - this Friday 27th of November. Ticket available online at www.ticketebo.com.au/riversidelive - Also available at the Club or phone James on 0437644476 email: [email protected]

23.01.2022 The Wayward Earls performed St. James Infirmary at their first ever gig at The Cape, November 2019 - featuring a cello solo by Peter Grayling.

23.01.2022 A big hearty thankyou to all the good folk of Borden, Albany and Denmark that came out to see us over the last few days. We had an immensely good time playing for you and partying after as well. We played in a 1930's art deco homestead replete with a gorgeously restored and fully functioning pianola, a boutique winery that serves astonishing wines and a Vermouth that is destined for true greatness... and a boutique clothes shop in the prettiest town anywhere from which we all left with a vintage tie! We are well chuffed, to say the least! Whilst we're want to wandering and waivering to wayward we are willing to wend our way to you whenever, so if you are up for some barrelhouse blues, hokum hootenany, rollicking ragtime or mild mannered monochrome gems of yesteryear, we are available, especially for house concerts!

20.01.2022 The Wayward Earls take too the stage at Six Degrees this Saturday night! "Full blown 'New Orleans' flavoured brass, ripping ragtime guitar picking, sultry swing cello and gritty blues harmonica all fuse in the vintage swing phenomenon that is the Wayward Earls. Join these venerable 'royals' of the Western Australian acoustic scene in a night of house-stomp hokum, jook-joint jokery and barrel-house ballads as they play Six Degrees for the first time."
