11.01.2022 I was on the train the other night and overheard an interesting conversation. One of the people was talking about a pay rise he just got and was complaining it was not enough. He went on to say he was paid to review 9 documents an hour but could do 20. But he said why bother. He did his daily work in half a day and spent the rest of the day at work doing his own stuff.... This raised an interesting question for me. How many businesses out there operate with unmotivated staff working far below their capacity?

It shows we closed the gender pay gap for women working full time by less than $22 a week in the six years the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) has been in place. This is pathetic, and if we are going to make a serious dent in the gender pay gap, changes need to be made to both The Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 and the funding of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).
