Once they have notified a celebrant of their intent to marry they will then have to wait a month before tying the knot. 13.01.2022 Whilst Australia is battling the Covid-19, weddings with large groups of people are banned. Weddings are now restricted to the couple, celebrant and witnesses with no more than 5 people in an enclosed venue. This is a registry style wedding. Although a lot of couples are wanting to get married, this is still possible where a celebration of the marriage could be held at a later date. These are very difficult and trying times right now but unfortunately we need to take measures to keep everyone safe.
