25.01.2022 , ’ , . . We had our first Wedding Expo in January Our first wedding in February... Hired our first staff member in March The bookings were flowing in for the rest of the year. Then it came, I watched on as so many of our beautiful couples made the difficult decision to postpone their weddings, or to cancel indefinitely. I wasn’t sure whether this little dream of mine would survive, or whether or should even try and keep it alive. But I pushed on, took it for what it was and continued looking into the future and planning for what we could do when we came back. : our first wedding back for the year in November, with another in December, with an almost fully booked January and a busy February on the way! I am so proud to do what I do, making memories for couples with their pets. I know firsthand how much of a special thing this was for Alex and I at our own wedding with Theodore, it’s my favourite thing in the world seeing how excited everyone is to have their fur babies front row while they say their I Do’s. ’ , ! , ? 25.01.2022 Down The Aisle We were thrilled to see a sneak peak of professional photos at last weeks wedding by @love.and.other Peppa and Chuck were perfectly behaved on their way down the aisle and as honorary bridesmaid and groomsman throughout the ceremony. They were a key part of Lachys proposal to Abbey, so it was only fitting they had a role in their wedding. His cheeky, confident, sassy personality have us in fits of laughter everyday. Life just wouldnt be the same without his morning squeaky meows at the bedroom door, waiting for ear rubs and breakfast, or our nightly wrestling matches on the loungeroom floor (he loooooves a rough play!) ... ? - ! Cats are territorial by nature and can often feel quite vulnerable, frightened, or on-edge when outside of their home environments. 16.01.2022 Behind The Scenes What do we do while we’re waiting for our time to shine? Well, there’s plenty of things we’re doing behind the scenes!... When this photo was taken, Peppa and Chuck had worked up a sweat looking so amazing standing with me at the altar during the ceremony, they were ready for a big drink and some juicy chicken to snack on. We went for a walk to reset, around the gorgeous @harvestermoon grounds next to the vineyard, had a toilet break in some trees (poo bags on hand, of course!) and got plenty of pats and adoring sounds from the wedding guests. We sat back in the shade and watched @love.and.other work their magic behind the camera for the formal portraits (while the pups tried their best to steal some lollies from the unsuspecting flower girls and page boys) We then had a little practice of our best sitting poses and puppy dogs eyes (with some more chicken as bribery of course!) before our photoshoot. Peppa and Chuck had the time of their lives; Alex and I loved being their dedicated chaperones, catering to their every whim with a smile on our faces! . . 14.01.2022 I stand in solidarity with all women. This movement started in response to Pinar Gltekin, a 27 year old Turkish woman who went missing. It was found she was a victim of domestic violence and was brutally murdered. "Turkish people wake up every day to see a black and white photo of a woman who has been murdered on their Instagram feed, on their newspapers, on their TV screens. ... "The black and white photo challenge started as a way for women to raise their voice. To stand in solidarity with the women we have lost. To show that one day, it could be their picture that is plastered across news outlets with a black and white filter on top." Let us remember those that have been lost to violence and femicide - we must support our sisters. We must be each others allies.
