23.01.2022 The Wheatsheaf Allendale (via Kapunda) is holding a mini Celtic festival on the weekend 16-17-18 The aim is to keep the Old Kapunda Celtic festival alive. The Celtic festival has been running since 1973 (maybe longer) and we at the Wheatsheaf in 2016 will be going all out to restore a major festival. ... This years mini fest is offering. Guinness and other traditional beverages pub meals.. full menu available between 12 to 2pm and 6 to 8pm (bookings recommend as we are fast booking out) Guinness and beef pot pies and Irish stew w/Colcannon will be available all day Saturday until sold out. Impromptu sessions Saturday evening Concert stalls including a well known psychic medium and clairvoyant Chrystal jewelery Henna tattooing And a local stained glass worker with pieces available for purchase on the day. blackboard session camp over Bring an instrument, join in, or just enjoy the music in a country setting Some performers. 06.01.2022 Sunday 15th March St Patricks day celebrations kick off from 1pm. Guinness pints $6 Beef and Guinnness pot pies and authentic irish stew w/colcannon available all day PLUS free live music by Shenanigans. Diddly Deeee see you there!

06.01.2022 Beef & Guiness Pot Pies, Irish stew with Colcannon are back on the menu! The Celtic weekend fast aproaches. Sessions will be held throughout the pub with a concert Saturday night and the wonderful Border Celts entertaining us over the weekend. All of us at the Wheatsheaf would like to thank the vendors the Border celts and especially Allen and Karen Tiller for all The effort they put into making this first festival a success.
