Josh Tonna Muay Thai World Champion Profile... Residing in Canberra, ACT, Josh Tonna had a fairly normal upbringing, spending his time on the soccer field and playing in bands. When he was 18, a bullying incident led him to joining a local kickboxing gym to learn how to protect himself while rebuilding his self-confidence. Josh fell in love with martial arts immediately and climbed into the ring for his first competitive fight just six months later. He has been fighting for 13 years so far and now competes in the ONE Championship strawweight division (56.7 kg). He has had 51 fights in Muay Thai and kickboxing, competing across the globe in Australia, England, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Myanmar, Phillipines, China and Indonesia After winning both an ISKA K-1 World Championship and a WMC Intercontinental Muay Thai Championship Josh was signed to ONE Championship super series. The super series is only kickboxing and Muay Thai. In 2018 he was named the One Championship comeback of the year against WBC world champion Joe Lasiri, he beat the number 1 Japanese flightier Ranked in Rise and more recently knocked out 5X world champion, superstar Andy Howson.
