18.01.2022 The Winton Club welcomed a special visitor today, Keith Smith, (also our newest member), who was very keen to see where Qantas had held its’ first board meeting back in 1921. We were thrilled to be presented with a 100 years Qantas mug by Keith to add to our Qantas memorabilia collection. Keith is pictured here wearing one the Captains’ hats from our display in the foyer, the hat of Captain Peter Probert.

12.01.2022 John Love, son of Sydney Airport founder Nigel Love, posted this great photo, in recognition of the likely final 747 flight into SYD. Nigel assembled the first aircraft for Qantas - the Avro 504K - back in 1920, in a canvas hangar just to the south of today's T2. Nigel also flew over the Somme battlefields with future Qantas CEO Hudson Fysh during WW1. The end of an era... From Serge Nemaz, via Juddy the Ambo!
